The work function of copper is 4.0 eV. If two photons, each of energy 2.5 eV strike with some electrons of copper, will the emission be possible?

One photon can eject one photoelectron from the surface of a metal provided its energy is not less than the work function of metal. Since each photon has energy less than the work function of copper, hence, photoelectric emission is not possible.
