The angular displacement of a flywheel v...

The angular displacement of a flywheel varies with time as `theta = at + bt^(2)-ct^(3)`. Then the angular acceleration is given by

A

`a+2bt-3ct^(2)`

B

`2b-6ct`

C

`a+2b-6t`

D

`2b-6t`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

`theta = at + bt^(2)-ct^(3)`
Differenate w.r. to 't'
`omega = (d theta)/(dt)=a+2bt-3xx ct^(2)`
Once again differenciate w.r. to 't'
`prop = (d omega)/(dt) = 0 + 2b - 6ct`
`prop = 2b-6ct`.
