Differentiate between antioxidants and preservatives.

Antioxidants are chemical compounds which prevent the oxidation of food containing unsaturated fats and oils. Butyiated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and burylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) are two commonly used antioxidants. Preservatives are chemical compounds which are added to food to prevent them from spoilage by microbial growth . Some commonly used food preservatives are common salt, vinegar, sodium benzoate.
