A point charge `+10 muC` is a distance 5 cm directly above the centre of a square of side 10 cm, as shown in fig. What is the magnitude of the electric flux through the square?

Let the charge q is placed at the centre of cube as shown in fig.
The total flux enclosed through the cube is `phi =q/epsi_(0)`.
The flux enclosed by one face `phi'=1/6` of total flux.
[` :'` Cube has 6 faces]
`phi'=phi/6=1/6 q/epsi_(0)`
Here `q=10 muC=10xx10^(-6) C, epsi_(0) =8.854xx10^(-12) C^(2) -N^(-1) -m^(-2)`
`:. phi =1/6xx(10xx10^(-6))/(8.854xx10^(-12))`
`=1.88xx10^(5) N-m^(2)//C`
