( c) Number of electrons in nitrogen `= 7` and number of electron is oxygen ` = 8` we know that formula of nitrate ion is `NO_3^-` we also know that number of electron.
`=(1 xx "Number of electron in nitrogen") + (3 xx "number of electrons in oxygen") + 1`
=`(1 xx 7)+(3 xx 8) + 1 = 32`.
