The reading of ammeter

A

`6.56 A`

B

`3.28 A`

C

`2.18 A`

D

`1.09 A`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
C

The equivalent circuit of the given circuit will be reduced to as a, b and c

Total resistance of the circuit `= (2xx4)/(2+ 4) + 0.8`
`= (8)/(6) + 0.8= (12.8)/(6)Omega`
Main current in the circuit `= (14)/((12.8//6)) = (84)/(12.8)A`
Reading of ammeter `= (84)/(12.8) xx(2)/(6) = 2.18A`
