In the circuit shown in the figure, if potentail at point `A` is taken to be zero, the potential at point `B` is

A

`-1V`

B

`+2 V`

C

`-2 V`

D

`+1V`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
d

Refer

Current from C to D = 1A
`V_(C) - V_(D) =- 2xx1= 2V`…..(i)
As `V_(A) = 0`, therefore `V_(D) = 1V`
from (i) `V_(C) - 1= 2 or V_(C) = 3V`
Here, `V_(C) - V_(B) = 2 or 3-V_(B) = 2`
or `V_(B) = 3- 2= 1V`
