An ammeter and a voltmeter are joined in sereis to a cell. Their readings are `A` and `V` respectively. If a resistance is now joinding parallel with the voltmeter. Then

A

`V` will and change

B

`V` will increase silghtly

C

A will becomes exectly half of its initial value

D

A will becomes single more then half of its initial value

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
b,d

When a resistance equal to the resistance of ammeter is connected in parallel to ammeter the effective resistance of ammeter becomes half of its initial value. Due to it, the current in circuit increase and reading of ammeter becomes little more than half of its initial value.
