Shows on a plot of current `I` through the cross section of the wire over a time intenal of `14 s` Find the amount of charge that passes through the wire (i) during `10 s` (ii) during `14s`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
`50C`

Amount of charge that flow in `10s`
= area (OABD) under the `I - t` graph
= Area of Delta OAE+ area ABCD
`= (5xx4)/(2) + 5xx (10 - 4) = 10+ 30 = 40 C`
(ii) Amount of charge that flow in `14s`
= area OABC = Area OABD+ area DBC
`= 40 + 5xx (14 - 10)//2 = 50C`
