How does the wattless current conforms to the particle of energy conservation?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

An alternating current through a pure inductor or pune capacitor is wattless, which means that no part of the input energy is lost due to heating . Instead, the electrical energy supplied from the alternating source is stored in the magnetic field of the inductor or in the electrostatic field of the capacitor. Because of this stored energy, the current continues to flow in the circuit, even if the alternating source is removed from the circuit.
