Comparing the L-C oscillations with the oscillations of a spring-block system

Text Solution

The LC oscillations are comparable to mechanical oscillations of a spring -mass system , since both of them are simple harmonic motion,

General equations for the oscillations of a pur LC circuit,
`(d^2q)/(dt^2)+q/LC=0` (1)
Again , the equation for the mechanical oscillations of a spring - mass system.
`(d^2x)/(dt^2)+w_0^2x=0`...(2)
where , `omega_0=sqrt(k/m)`
Comparing equations (1) and (2), we may write that the LC oscillations and the mechanical oscillations of spring -mass system are analogous.
The analogy is given below is tabular from.
