The gain of a common- emitter ampIifier is given by `A_(v)=-g_(m)R_(L)` . Does it mean that if we Keep on increasing `R_(L)` indefiniteIy,the gain of the ampIifier wiII aIso increase indefiniteIy? ExpIain your answer.

No, the gain of the amplifier will not increase indefinitely on increasing `R_(L)`.
We know that `V_(CE)=V_("CC")-I_(C)R_(L)`,
where `V_(CE) to` collector -emitter voltage
`V_("CC") to` output reverse battery voltage ,
`I_(C) to` current through output circuit.
Thus when `R_(C)` is increased `V_(CE)` decreases and ultimately becomes less than the base voltage when both the junctions get forward biased and the collector current `I_(C)` gets saturated. Once `I_(C)` is saturated there will be no increase in the gain.
