If the emitter and base of a transistor ...

If the emitter and base of a transistor have same doping concentration, how wiII the base current and the coIIector current be affected?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The base current will increase and collector current will decrease. Most of the majority carriers coming from the emitter will be neutralised in the base by electron-hole recombination. This results a large base current. Only few majority carrers will reach the collector resulting in a small collector current.
