Due to absence of lone pair of electrons on carbon
` CH_(4)` has regular tetrahedral geometry . Although
` CHCl_(3)` also does not have lone pairs of electrons on
carbon but due to the presence of three polar C-Cl
bond , and one almost non-polar C-H bond , its
geometry is little distorted from the regular shape .
In contrast , ` SF_(4)` has one lone pair and four bond
pairs , therefore it does not have a regular geometry
Thus , option (C) is correct .
