The curved portions are smooth and horizontal surface is rough. The block is released from `P`. At what distance from A it will stop?the friction coefficient for rough flat surface is 0.2.

Loss in energy `=` work done against friction
`mg=mumgd`
`d=(h)/(mu)=(1)/(0.2)=5m`
The block will move on the flat part by 5m. After starting from B it will reach to D, then will rise until the remaining kinetic energy is converted to potential energy. It will return to D, having same kinetic energy. Now it will move from D to B, rises up, return then B to C.
`5=BD+DB+BC=2+2+BC`
`BC=1m`
The block will stop at a distance 1 m from B.
