A metal slab of thickness, equal to half the distance between the plates is introduced between the plates of a parallel plate capacitor as shown. Find its capacity.

When capacitor is partially filled with dielectric
capacity `c=(epsilon_(0)A)/([d-t(1-(1)/(k))])`
For metal slab of thickness `t = d//2`,
`C=(in_(0)A)/(d-t)` (`K = infty` for metal slab)
`= (in_(0)A)/(d-(d)/(2))=2(in_(0)A)/(d)`.
