Find the resultant of three vectors shown in the figure.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`x = 5 sqrt(2) cos 45^(@) + 1 = 5 + 1 = 6m`
`y = 5 sqrt(2) sin 45^(@) + 3 = 5 + 3 = 8 m`
`r = sqrt(x^(2) + y^(2)) = sqrt((6)^(2) + (8)^(2)) = 10 m`
`tan theta = (y)/(x) = (8)/(6) = (4)/(3) rArr theta = tan^(-1) ((4)/(3))`
Note : The resultant of vectors passing through the same point or located at different places.
