If x-1/x=3, find the value of x^3-1/(x^3...

If `x-1/x=3,` find the value of `x^3-1/(x^3)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`x-1/x=3`
`x^3-1/(x^3)=(3)^3`
Using Identity :
`( a - b )^³ = a^³ - b^³ - 3ab\( a - b )`
`x^3-1/x^3+3( x-1/x)^2=(3)^3`
` x^3-1/(x^3)+3(3)=27`
` x^3-1/(x^3)+27-27=0`
`x^3-1/(x^3)=0`
