If a+b=7 and a b=12 , find the value of ...

If `a+b=7` and `a b=12 ,` find the value of `(a^2+b^2)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Formula,
`(a+b)^2=a^2+b^2 +2ab`
`7^2 =a^2+b^2+2(12)`
`a^2 +b^2=49−24=25`
Hence the answer is `25`
