Factorize: a^6+b^6...

Factorize: `a^6+b^6`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Since, `x^3+y^3 = (x + y)(x^2 − xy + y^2)`
We have,`a^6+b^6`
=`(a^2)^3+(6^2)^3`
=`(a^2+b^2){(a^2)^2-(a^2 (b^2)+(b^2)^2}`
= `(a^2 + b^2) (a^4-a^2b^2 + b^4)`
`a^6+ b^6 = (a^2 + b^2) (a^4 - a^2b^2 + b^4)`
