Metals donot occur in nature as nitrates...

Metals donot occur in nature as nitrates. Why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Nitrates of all metals are soluble in water. Therefore, if metal nitrates were present in the crust of earth, these would be slowly and gradually washed by rain water into the sea. It is because of this reason that metals usually do not occur in nature as nitrates.
