Mechanism of allylic bromination is

Since endocyclic (within ring) double bond (as ini radical, II) is more stable than exocyclic (outside ring) double bond (as in radical, I), therefore, initially formed less stable free radical (I) gets converted into the more stable free radical (II) which then reacts with `Br_(2)` to give the product.
