Two circle intersect in Aa n dBa n dA Ca...

Two circle intersect in `Aa n dBa n dA Ca n dA D` are respectively the diameters of the circles. Prove that `C , B , D` are collinear.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Join CB, BD and AB, Since, AC is a diameter of the circle with center O.
`therefore` `angleABC=90^@` (angle in semi-circle)_____1
Also, AD is a diameter of the circle with center O .
`angleABD=90^@` (angle in semi-circle)____2
Adding 1 and 2
`angleABC + angleABD = 180^@`
So, CBD is a straight line.
Hence C, B and D are collinear .
