The diameters of two cones are equal. If their slant heights are in the ratio 5:4, find the ratio of theri curved surfaces.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given : Diameters of two cones are equal.
So, their radius will also be the same.
Let radius = r
Let the slant height of two cones are `l^'` and `l^''`
Ratio of C.S.A of two cones = `pirl^'`/pirl^''`
`A^'/A^'' = 5/4`
Hence, the ratio of their curved surface area is `5:4`.
