A painter is applying force himself to raise him and the box with an acceleration of `5(m)/(s^2)` by a massless rope and pulley arrangement as shown in figure. Mass of painter is 100 kg and that of box is 50 kg. If `g=10(m)/(s^2)`, then:

A

tension in the rope is `1125 N`

B

tension in the rope is `2250 N`

C

force of contact between the painter and the floor is `375 N`

D

None of these

The correct Answer is:
A, C

For painter
`R + T - mg = ma` ltbRgt `r + t = m(g + a)`….(1)
For the system ,
`2T - (m + M)g - (m + M)a`
`2T = (m+M)(g+a)….(2)`
where, `m = 100 kg`
`M = 50 kg`
`a = 5 m//sec ^(2)`
`:. T = (150 xx 15)/(2) = 1125 N`
and , `R = 375 N`.

A painter is applying force himself to raise him and the box with an acceleration of 5m//s^(2) by a massless rope and pulley arrangement as shown in fig Mass of painter is 100 kg and that of box is 50 kg if g=10 m//s^(2) then:

A painter is raising himself and the crate on which he stands with an acceleration of 5m//s^(2) by a massless rope and pulley arrangement. Mass of the painter is 100 kg and that of the crate is 50 kg. If g=10m//s^(2) , then the (i) tension in the rope is 2250 N (ii) tension in the rope is 1125 N (iii) force of contact between the painter and the flow 750 N (iv) force of contact between the painter the paniter and the floor 375 N.

A man is raising himself and the crate on which he stands with an acceleration of 5ms^(-2) by a massless rope-and-pulley arrangement. Mass of the man is 100kg and that of the crate is 50 kg. If g=10ms^(-2) , then the tension in the rope is

A block of mass 10 kg, moving with acceleration 2m//s^(2) on horizontal rough surface is shown in figure

In the arrangement shown, the mass m will ascend with an acceleration ( Pulley and rope are massless)

A man of mass M stands on the floor of a box of mass m as shown in fig. He raises himself and the box with an acceleration a = g/3 by means of a rope going over a fixed frictionless pulley. If the mass of the rope is negligible compared to (M + m) and if M = 2m, the tension in the rope will be?

For the given figure the acceleration of 1 kg block if string is massless and mass of pulley is 2 kg and diameter of pulley is 0.2 m :-

A man of mass 80kg pushes box of mass 20kg horizontaly. The man moves the box with a constant acceleration of 2 m//s^(2) but his foot does not slip on the ground. There is no friction between the box and the ground. There is no friction between the box and the ground. whereas there is sufficient friction between the man's foot and the ground to prevent him from slipping. Assertion:- The force applied by the man on the box is equal and opposite to the force applied by the force applid by the box on the man. Reason:- Friction force applied by the ground on the man is 200N.

In the system shown in the adjoining figure, the acceleration of the 1 kg mass is m//s^(2) . (take g = 10 m//s^(2) )
