Show that the sequence ` (p + q)^(2), (p^(2) + q^(2)), (p-q)^(2) …` is an A.P.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given sequience is ` (p + q)^(2) , (p^(2) + q^(2)) , (p -q)^(2),…`
Here , ` (p^(2) + q^(2)) - (p+ q)^(2) = - 2pq `
` (p-q)^(2) - (p^(2) + q^(2)) = - 2pq `
Since difference between seccuessive terms is constant , given sequence is an A.P.
