Show that the sequence given by an= 3\ (...

Show that the sequence given by `a_n= 3\ (2^n),\ ` for all `n in N ,` is a G.P. Also find its common ratio.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given, `an=3(2^n)`
`an+1=3(2^(n+1))`
Now, `r=a^(n+1)/(an)`
`=(3(2^(n+1)))/(3(2^n))=2`
