Suppose a equilateral triangle `triangleABC` and let `BC` be the base of it.
We have given that base of it i.e. `BC = 2a` and mid-point of `BC` is at the origin.
Hence, coordinates of `B` and `C` are `(0,a)` and `(0,−a)` respectively.
As the triangle `ABC` is equilateral.
