Find the coordinates of the centre and r...

Find the coordinates of the centre and radius of each of the following circle: `2x^2+2y^2-3x+5y=7`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The given equation can be rewritten as
`x^2+y^2-(3x)/2+(5y)/2 -7/2=0`
Centre=`(3/4,-5/4)`
And radius=`sqrt(((3/4)^2)+(-5/4)^2+7/2)=sqrt((34+56)/(16))=sqrt((90)/(16))`
