If the line `y=m x` does not intersect the circle `(x+10)^2+(y+10)^2=180` then write the set of values of taken by `mdot`

Text Solution

`y=mx` does not intersect the circle (given)

`(x+10)^{2}+(y+10)^{2}=180 `

`(x+10)^{2}+(m x+10)^{2}=180 `

` x^{2}+100+20 x+m^{2} x^{2}+100+20 m x=180 `

`x^{2}+m^{2} x^{2}+20 m x+20 x+20=0 `

` x^{2}(1+m^{2})+20 x(m+1)+20=0`

As, `y=m x` does not intersect than,

`b^{2}-4 a c<0 `
