In a three dimensional space the equation `x^2-5x+6=0` represents a. points b. planes c. curves d. pair of straight lines

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We have `x^2 − 5 x + 6 = 0 ⇒ ( x − 2 ) ( x − 3 ) = 0 ⇒ x = 2 , x = 3`
` x^2-5x+6=0=(x-2)(x-3)=0=x=2,x=3`
Clearly these two equations represent two parallel planes parallel to `YOZ` plane.
