`f(x)= frac{cos ^{2} x-sin ^{2} x-1}{sqrt{x^{2}+1}-1}, x neq 0 k, x=0` If `f(x)` is continuous at `x=0`, then

`lim _{x -> 0} f(x)=f(0)`

`Rightarrow lim _{x-> 0} frac{cos ^{2} x-sin ^{2} x-1}{sqrt{x^{2}+1}-1}=k`

`Rightarrow lim _{x -> 0} frac{1-sin ^{2} x-sin ^{2} x-1}{sqrt{x^{2}+1}-1}=k`

`Rightarrow lim _{x -> 0} frac{-2 sin ^{2} x}{sqrt{x^{2}+1}-1}=k`

`Rightarrow lim _{x -> 0} frac{-2(sin ^{2} x)(sqrt{x^{2}+1}+1)}{(sqrt{x^{2}+1}-1)(sqrt{x^{2}+1}+1)}=k`

`Rightarrow lim _{x ->0} frac{-2(sin ^{2} x)(sqrt{x^{2}+1}+1)}{x^{2}}=k`
