Find the direction cosines of x, y and z-axis.

We know that the direction cosines makes an angle alpha, beta and gamma with x, y and z axis respectively are l,m and n

Now x axis makes an angle 0 with x axis, 90 with y axis & 90 with z axis.

So the direction cosine of x axis are:

`l=cos 0^circ quad m= cos 90^circ quad n=cos 90^circ`

`l=1 quad m=0 quad n=0`

Thus Direction cosines of x-axis are `1,0,0`. Now y axis makes an angle 90 with x axis, 0 with y axis & 90 with z axis.

So the direction cosine of y axis are:
