Factorize:
(i) `6x^2-13 x+6`
(ii) `-2x^2-3x+2`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(i) `6x^2-13x+6`
Using mid-term splitting, we get:
`=6x^2-9x-4x+6`
`=3x(2x-3)-2(2x-3)`
`=(2x-3)(3x-2)`

(ii) `-2x^2-3x+2`
By using mid-term splitting , we get:
`=-2x^2-4x+x+2`
`=-2x(x+2)+1(x+2)`
`=(x+2)(-2x+1)`
