Consider a conductor with a spherical cavity in it. A point charge `q_(0)` is placed at the centre of cavity and a point charge Q is placed outside conductor.
Statement-1: Total charge induced on cavity wall is equal and opposite to the charge inside
Statement-2: If cavity is surrounded by a Gaussian surface, where all parts of Gaussian surface are located inside the conductor, `ointvec(E)dvec(A)=0` hence `q_(induceed)=-q_(0)`

A

Statement-1 is true, statement-2 is true and statement-2 is correct explanation for statement-1.

B

Statement-1 is true, statement-2 is true and statement-2 is NOT the correct explanation for statement-1.

C

Statement-1 is true, statement-2 is false.

D

Statement -1 is false, statement -2 is true.
