Two soap bubbles are formed on the end of the ends of the tubes as shown. If valve is opened, in which direction will the air flow ?

Text Solution

Radius of curvature of smaller bubble `'B'` is less so pressure inside the smaller bubble will be more `(P_(0) + (4T)/(r))`. Air will flow from high pressure to low pressure, so it will flow from smaller bubble to bigger bubble . The small bubble will grow smaller and the big bubble will grow blgger.
