What are the advantages of using a solid insulator as a dielectric of a capacitor?

i) The value of the dielectric constant (k) of a solid dielectric is large. So, the capacitance increases many times.
ii) The two plates of the capacitor cannot come in contact with each other.
iii) The capacitor can be charged to a highter potential.
