The image of a object placed 50cm in front of a concave mirror is formed 2 m behind the mirror. Determine its principal focus and radius of curvature.

Here, u=-50cm, v=+2m =+200cm [since image is formed behind the mirror, v is positive]
We have, `(1)/(v)+(1)/(u)=(1)/(f)`
`or, " " f=(uv)/(u+v)=(-50xx(+200))/(-50+(+200))=(-200)/(3)=-66.67cm`
`therefore " " r=2f=2xx(-200)/(3)=(-400)/(3)=-133.3cm`
So, the focal lenth of the concave mirror = 66.67cm and its radius of curvanture = 135.3cm
