An element has an fcc crystal structure ...

An element has an fcc crystal structure with a unit cell edge length of 200 pm. If the element has a density of 10g/cm3, then what will its atomic mass be?

For an element with a cubic crystal structure, density `(rho)` is given by
`rho=(MxxZ)/(Nxxa^(3))` [N = Avogadro's number]
For an fcc lattice, Z = 4
Thus, `" "10g*cm^(-3)=(Mxx4)/(6.022xx10^(23)mol^(-1)(200xx10^(-10))^(3)cm^(3))`
or, M = `12.046g*mol^(-1)`
Thus, the atomic mass of the element will be `12.046g*mol^(-1)`
