3.26g of zinc reacts with acid to liberated 1.12 L of hydrogen gas `(H_(2))` at STP. Calculate the relative equivalent weight of zinc.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

1.12 L of `H_(2)` (at STP) is liberated by 3.26g of zinc
`therefore 11.2L` of `H_(2)` is liberated by `(3.26xx11.2)/(1.12)=32.6g ` of zinc
So, equivalent weight of zinc=32.6
