A mixture contains CO, `CH_(4)` and nitrogen. `25cm^(3) ` of the mixture on oxidation in presence of excess oxygen, resulted in the decrease in volume by `16cm^(3)`. A further contraction of `17cm^(3)` was observed when the residual gas was treated with KOH soltuion. what was the composition of the original gaseous mixture of `25cm^(3)` volume? [All volumes are measured at the same temperature and pressure].
