Find the ratio of the masses of equal volumes of `CH_(4), C_(2)H_(4) and C_(2)H_(2)` gases under the same temperature and pressure.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Under the same condition of temperature and pressure, ratio of number of moles present in equal volume of `CH_(4),C_(2)H_(4) and C_(2)H_(2)` is-
`CH_(4):C_(2)H_(4):C_(2)H_(2)=1:1`
Ratio of their masses-
`m_(CH_(4)):m_(C_(2)H_(4)):m_(C_(2)H_(2))=1xx16:1xx28:26`
`=8:14:13`
