20.2 mL of CH(3)COOH reacts with 20.1 mL...

20.2 mL of `CH_(3)COOH` reacts with 20.1 mL of `C_(2)H_(5)OH` and produce `CH_(3)COOC_(2)H_(5)` according to the following reaction[ density of `CH_(3)COOC_(2)H_(5)]` is 0.902g/mL].
`CH_(3)COOH+C_(2)H_(5)OH to CH_(3)COOC_(2)H_(5)+H_(2)O`
(a) Which one is the limiting reagent it he reaction?
(b) if 27.5 mL of pure `CH_(3)COOC_(2)H_(5)` is produced, then find the percentage amount of production [density of `CH_(3)COOH` and `C_(2)H_(5)OH` are 1.05g/mL and 0.789g/mL respectively].

`CH_(3)COOH+C_(2)H_(2)OH to CH_(3)COOC_(2)H_(5)+H_(2)`
`CH_(3)COOH=(20.2xx1.05)/(60)=0l.353`,
`C_(2)H_(5)OH=(20.1xx0.789)/(46)=0.344`
`CH_(3)COOH and C_(2)H_(5)OH` reacts in the ratio of 1:1.
(a) As the number of moles of `C_(2)H_(5)OH` is less than `CH_(3)COOH`. so, `C_(2)H_(5)OH` is the limiting reagent.
(b) If `C_(2)H_(5)OH` is limiting reagent, then number of moles of `CH_(3)COOC_(2)H_(5)=0.3447` (theoritical)
Experimentally, `CH_(3)COOC_(2)H_(5)` formed
`=(27.5xx0.902)/(88)=0.2819` mol
Percentage amount of `CH_(3)COOC_(2)H_(5)`
`=(0.2819)/(0.3447)xx100=81.78`
