The average kinetic energy of the molecules in a gas at `T_(1)K and T_(2)K` are `E_(1)` are `E_(2)kJ`, respectively. If `E_(2) gt E_(1)`, then which one between `T_(1) and T_(2)` is higher?

Text Solution

Since `E_(2) gt E_(1), T_(2) gt T_(1)`. This is because with the increase in absolute temperature of a gas, the average kinetic energy of the gas molecules increases.
