Comment on the validity of Boyle's law for the following reaction: `N_(2)O_(4)(g)hArr 2NO_(2)(g)`.

The number of molecules of `N_(2)O_(4) and NO_(2)` vary with the pressure at constant temperature. Hence, mass of the gas mixture does not remain constant. Thus, boyle's law is not applicable here.
