(i) Sketch P/T versus T plot for an ideal gas at constant volume. Indicate the value of the slope (mass fixed).
(ii) Under the same conditions of temperature and pressure `NH_(3), Cl_(2) and CO_(2)` gases are allowed to diffuse through a porour wall. arrange these gases in the increasing order of the rate of diffusion.

(i) According to Gay-Lussac's law, `(P)/(T)=K` (constant), when mass and volume of a gas are constant. Hence, the plot of `P/T` versus T indicates a straight line parallel to the X-axis and slope of the curve is tan0=0.

(ii) The order of molar masses of `NH_(3),Cl_(2) and CO_(2)` gases are- `NH_(3) lt CO_(2) lt Cl_(2)`.
Hence, the increasing order of their rates of diffusion is:
`Cl_(2) lt CO_(2) lt NH_(3)`.
