A 2L flask contains 0.4 g `O_(2)` and 0.6 g `H_(2)` at `100^(@)C`. Calculate the total pressure of the gas mixture in the flask.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

total no. of moles of `O_(2)&H_(2)` in flask`=(0.4)/(32)+(0.6)/(2)=0.3125`
`therefore P=(nRT)/(V)=(0.3125xx0.082xx373)/(2)=4.78`atm.
