A vessel of 120 mL capacity contains a certain amount of gas at `35^(@)C` and 1.2 bar pressure. The gas is transferred to another vessel of volume 180 mL at `35^(@)C`. What would be its pressure ?

In this process, pressure and volume of the gas change but its mass and temperature remain constant.
Applying boyle's law to the prcess, we have `P_(2)=(P_(1)V_(1))/(V_(2))`
Given: `P_(1)=1.2` bar, `V_(1)=120mL and V_(2)=180mL`
`therefore P_(2)=(1.2xx120)/(180)=0.8` bar.
