A cylinder capable of holding 3L of water contains `H_(2)` gas at `27^(@)C` and a pressure of P atom. At STP, it is possible to fill up 10 balloons, each of which has a radius of 10 cm, with the gas present in the cylinder. Find the value of P.

The volume of each balloon
`=(4)/(3)pir^(3)=(4)/(3)pi(10cm)^(3)=4.19L`
As the cylinder can hold 3L of water, its volume is 3L
The volume of `H_(2)` gas required to fill up 10 balloons=
`10xx4.19=41.9L`
As STP, if the volume of `H_(2)` gas present in the cylinder be
VL, the `(1xxV)/(273)=(Pxx3)/(300) or, V=(273xx3)/(300)P=2.73P`
Even after the balloons have been filled up with `H_(2)` gas, the cylinder, still contains `H_(2)` gas of its own volume. so, the volume of `H_(2)` gas=(273P-3)L
`therefore 2.73P-3=41.9 or P=16.44`
