Write an activity to show that dissolving of an acid in water is an exothermic process (or) endothermic process.

1) Take 10 ml water in a beaker.
2) Add a few drops of concentrated `H_2SO_4` to it and swirl the beaker slowly.
3) Touch the base of the beaker.
4) Th e base is hot.
Result: This is an exothermic process called as dilution.
